Cassandra was born and raised in a small rural town. From a family of five and was always surrounded by loving family and friends. Although her life on the outside looked appealing and normal to most, Cassandra secretly dealt with depression, rape, helplessness and heartache on her own. While maintaining the image of carefree child, Cassandra struggled to express what was really going on in her life.

Somewhere down the line, she lost herself in others – the images of others, the wants of others and the needs of others. Her healing journey started when she started voicing and revealing years of unexpressed feelings and experiences. It was her challenging childhood that drove her into the curiosity of the unknown world of spirituality and gave her the opportunity to regain her voice and uncover her truth.

Cassandra studied the energy of the body through the practice of Thai Massage at Toronto Thai Massage. She recognized that working with the physicality of the body was also another way to release repressed emotions. Cassandra continued to expand her knowledge about healing all levels of the self by learning various healing modalities in the Energetic Studies Course at Transformation Arts College. Currently, working towards achieving her Spiritual Health Coach License so that she can share her knowledge with others so that they can have the means to heal their own lives. Cassandra’s true passion is to help those find their voice, so they too can speak their way to their truth and achieve what they truly desire.

What is it I want to share with others?

No matter how deep the pain is, how unbearable the heartache is that there is always a way to overcome it. That all it takes is for you to believe in yourself.

No what you offer others, there is nothing more important than giving that to yourself. We must put ourselves in the driver seat of our own lives. It is only then will we live the life we want.

Just because you see someone as you want to see them, that doesn’t make them who they are. We are all human, we all suffer and struggle but we all have will and strength to accept it and over come it.

What is it that I want to stand for?

How others perceive you doesn’t define you. How you perceive yourself doesn’t define you either. We are all made up of darkness and light. Acceptance of this darkness will bring you to the truth of who you are, which is light.

It takes a lot of courage and strength to love your self. But no amount of love from anyone else can make you whole. We all possess the strength to realize that we are love.

Trust in self. Trust in universe.

I spent years living in the shadow of my truth. Living as a victim of my own life. I put my life in the hands of others because I didn’t know how to live my life. I didn’t want the responsibility and didn’t have the confidence or courage to step into my truth.

While I tried to maintain the image of who others wanted me to be, I struggled to face and express the truth of who I really was, and am.

When we lose our voice we lose ourselves. When we don’t express our deepest and utmost desires, wants and needs, it just adds to the mountain of helplessness. We can’t help ourselves, and nobody can help us, if we aren’t willing to do the work to recognize that we deserve to have all of our wants and needs fulfilled.

I want nothing more than for people to know that your voice matters, everyone’s voice matters. What you say, what you think and feel is all important. Don’t ever trade that what you can give to yourself. I gave up my voice in exchange for love and support. I sacrificed my truth in return for something I could have easily given myself. It all starts with caring, and loving yourself. And once you do then you will have the strength to use your voice because you know that you are worthy of it.
